Dental risk management during covid 19 Pandemic

In light with the current climate, Markham Street Dental remains open and providing a full range of dental services following the guidance of Australian dental association and Dental council of NSW. Assessment and management of risk remains our key responsibility in making sure that we provide dental care safely during the pandemic.

What we are doing to ensure your safety during this time

Your safety is our top priority. Dentistry has been recognised as having the highest level of infection control standards. You can be assured that you are visiting a clean, hygienic, sterile environment where our team is committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control in our practice. Due to COVID-19, when you visit next, you will notice some changes to the way we do things. We have put some extra precautionary measures in place, including:

Deferring non urgent treatment for clients who pose a risk of covid 19.

Mandatory QR codes check in upon entry and leaving the premises.

Staff always wearing face masks while in the premises and interacting with clients.

Screening questions for all staff at the beginning of the week.

Rapid Antigen testing onsite for staff to test whenever the need arises.

Additional mouth rinse prior to many dental procedures.

Sanitisers for hand hygiene when arriving and leaving the practice.

Sanitisers placed in reception area, waiting area.

Removing magazines and toys in our reception area.

Modifying our reception spaces and encouraging people to wait outside where possible to ensure social distancing.
