There are no surprises at Markham Street Dental. You get the same dentist every time you visit. Dr. Joseph Nyepetsi has been with the practice for many years, and he is not planning to leave any time soon. Our staff have also been with the practice for many years.
One of the hindrances to dental care is the cost; we understand this needs to be discussed before dental treatment. However, we are consistent, and there will never be any financial surprises. Once we have planned and issued estimates, we stick to the plan. You will be informed before we start treatment if there are any unexpected changes.
Efficient and Gentle Dentistry in Armidale
At Markham Street Dental, we believe that treatment should be prompt and efficient. We also believe in gentle treatment that makes your visit as enjoyable as possible.
Some patients feel anxious about needles. Fortunately, Dr Joseph takes time when numbing the treatment site to lessen the discomfort, and most patients report not feeling the anaesthesia poke. However, if you’re still a little anxious, talk to us about happy gas!
Happy gas is an excellent tool for adults and children who feel nervous.
Education and Patient-Focused Dental Technology
Dr Joseph is a highly motivated dentist who continues to expand his knowledge and skill set, and that is why he can provide a wide range of dental services to our clients.
Over the last few years, he has taken continuing education in implant dentistry and orthodontics. That means we’re unlikely to refer you to a specialist should you want dental implants or orthodontic treatment.
Markham Street Dental has also invested heavily in dental technology to improve service delivery and lower wait times. For example, we now have the technology to take 3-D x-rays for dental implant planning and new equipment for CAD/CAM dentistry.
A Dedicated Armidale Dentist
Dr Joseph Nyepetsi is the dentist and owner of Markham Street Dental. He was born and raised in Botswana and did all his primary and secondary education there. After completing his secondary education, he moved to the Republic of Ireland to pursue dentistry.
Upon completing his training in 2010, he returned to Botswana, where he served in a large referral hospital, focusing extensively on oral surgery for two years. Then, in 2012, he moved to Australia in search of further professional growth.
Today his credentials include the following:
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (honours degree) from the National University of Ireland – Cork
- Graduate Diploma of Orthodontics from James Cook University
- Master Implant Program with Brener Implant Institute in North Sydney—passed didactic component with distinction
- Certificate in Business Management from the Australian Institute of Business
- Member of the Australian Dental Association
(Currently, he is pursuing a fellowship in restorative dentistry with RIPE Global, a programme designed to teach dentists enhanced skills, so they become better daily.)
Dr Joseph is an enthusiastic and motivated learner. He is married with one child and a very committed husband and father.
When he is away from his dental clinic, he loves spending time with his family, cooking and reading. Additionally, he loves going to the local gym or simply going for a run and enjoys Armidale landscapes. His favourite TV shows are the good old sitcoms Friends and Seinfeld for a good laugh!
